Real-time capable trajectory prediction
Using the dynamic ship model developed in AP7100 and AP7200 and existing knowledge about the present environmental conditions and the future manipulated variables, it is possible to generate a prediction of the trajectory in the near future. In this work package, a software module is developed for real-time trajectory prediction with consideration of environmental disturbance variables such as wind and water current speed. In addition to the trajectory itself, an indication of the reliability range of the prediction is also given. The software module is used for the planning of a suitable trajectory in AP9500 as well as for the trajectory following control. Furthermore, it is investigated to what extent the knowledge about the dynamic behavior of the ship can be used as a component of the integrity check in the navigation solution.
